Dean of “Protection”

In case you haven’t already seen it, Karla wrote a kickass edletter. Read it here.

This isn’t a joke

Normally, I post Photoshopped pictures here. This one is straight from my phone. In case you’re wondering, that’s a gas can sitting unattended in a shopping cart in the student apartments. The maintenance man associated with it was upstairs powerwashing.

Let’s run through the things wrong with this picture:

1. There’s a goddamn can full of gasoline sitting in the main walkway of an FAU dorm.

There are college kids around and some of them are probably drunk. Have you ever lit something on fire while drunk? It’s about 500 times more awesome than doing it sober.

2. It’s in a shopping cart.

Shopping carts don’t grow on trees. They grow in Publix entrances. I’d say the odds of this cart being legally obtained are the same as the odds that your next math professor will speak understandable English.

3. They were too lazy to push the thing 50 feet to an elevator

There’s an elevator about 50 feet away from all this. But no, pushing the cart and powerwasher there would have been too hard. If you look closely, you can see the hose dangling down from the second floor (it’s right next to your regret for deciding to stay close to home for college.)

Opponents of the resolution (including Student Body President Ayden Maher) argued that the pterodactyls were improving the parking problem on campus.
